Entegra Coach is recalling certain motorhomes from model years 2008 through 2011, including the Aspire, Anthem, Cornerstone, Emblem, Alante, and Insignia models. These vehicles are equipped with Lippert-brand Coachstep Double Electric Steps that have a bolt which may fracture and cause the fan gear assembly to disengage from the steps. When this happens, the steps may not stay in their proper position and can become unstable, creating a fall hazard.
To address this issue, Entegra will notify owners and have dealers install a retainer bracket on the double step assemblies and replace the Coachstep linkage assembly on the trip step assemblies along with installing a retainer bracket. Owners of affected vehicles should contact Entegra customer service at 1-800-945-4787 or Lippert customer service at 1-574-537-8900 for more information, referencing recall number 9903275.
