What happened

Suzuki Motor USA is recalling certain 2013, 2014, and 2015 Suzuki SFV650 motorcycles because the fuel tank breather hose may have been positioned improperly during assembly and could become kinked. If the hose is kinked, pressure may build inside the fuel tank and cause it to crack, resulting in a fuel leak that increases the risk of fire.

Suzuki will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the fuel tank breather hose at no cost. If the existing breather hose is found to be kinked and obstructed, the fuel tank will also be replaced. Affected owners should contact Suzuki customer service at 1-714-572-1490 and reference recall number 2A49.
