What happened

Polaris Industries is recalling certain 2015 GEM model vehicles (EL, ES, E4, E4S, ELXD, E6, E6S, and E2) manufactured between December 15, 2014, and August 25, 2015. The seat belts in these vehicles have faulty retractor mechanisms that may cause the belt to become stuck in one position, preventing it from properly retracting or extending and failing to secure occupants as intended during a crash.

GEM will notify owners of affected vehicles, and authorized dealers will replace the seat belt assemblies at no charge. Owners should contact the GEM Consumer Service Department at 1-855-743-3436 to arrange service for their vehicle.
