What happened

Halcore Group is recalling certain 2015 Horton ambulances (models 623, 603, 503, 553, and 453) manufactured between October 1 and November 16, 2015, that are equipped with the i4G electrical control system. A circuit board component was installed incorrectly in these vehicles, which can cause the ambulance body's electrical system to fail. This failure can affect interior and exterior lights as well as critical life-saving equipment such as the oxygen system, potentially hindering emergency response and rescue efforts and increasing the risk of injury to patients.

If you own an affected ambulance, Horton will replace the faulty electrical component at no charge. According to the recall notice, owners should contact Horton customer service at 1-800-282-5113 to arrange the replacement.
