What happened

Jayco, Inc. is recalling certain 2015 Jay Flight trailers manufactured between July 10, 2014, and October 24, 2014. These trailers have cargo carrying capacity labels that overstate how much weight they can safely carry. Because of the incorrect label information, a vehicle operator could accidentally overload the trailer, which may cause premature tire wear or tire failure and increase the risk of a vehicle crash.

Jayco will notify owners of the affected trailers, and authorized dealers will install corrected labels at no charge. The recall began on November 18, 2014. Owners of affected trailers should contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267.
