What happened

Jayco is recalling certain 2016 Octane travel trailers, model 222(V2), manufactured between March 23 and March 30, 2016, because the turn signal wires may be crossed. When this occurs, the opposite turn signal activates from the one the driver intends, which could confuse other drivers about the trailer's direction and increase the risk of a crash.

Jayco will notify owners, and authorized dealers will inspect and repair the wiring at no charge. Affected owners should contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267 with recall number 9901293 to arrange an inspection and repair.

Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain model year 2016 Octane travel trailers, model 222(V2), manufactured March 23, 2016, to March 30, 2016. The turn signal wires on the affected trailers may be crossed, activating the opposite turn signal of the one intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Assoc. Equipment."
