Is my product affected?

2012 CM TRAILERS CARGO VAN; 2012 CM TRAILERS REVOLUTION

  • Brand CM TRAILERS

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

CM Trailers is recalling certain 2012 Cargo Van and Revolution trailers equipped with specific Hydrastar and Hydrastar XL trailer brake actuators made between October 5, 2011, and December 9, 2011. A rotating component in the hydraulic pump of these actuators missed a required heat treatment during manufacturing, causing the pump to wear faster than normal. This defect could cause the hydraulic pump to fail, resulting in complete loss of braking ability in the trailer.

Loss of braking ability could cause the trailer to become uncontrollable, potentially leading to a crash, serious injuries, or property damage. CM Trailers will notify owners and dealers will replace the hydraulic pumps at no charge. The recall began on March 21, 2014. Affected owners should contact CM Trailers at 1-888-268-7577.
