CUMMINS WESTPORT ISX12 G; CUMMINS WESTPORT ISL G
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Cummins Inc. and Cummins Westport Inc. are recalling certain Cummins Westport Model ISL G engines manufactured between September 12, 2007, and February 2, 2014, and Model ISX12 G engines manufactured between February 19, 2013, and February 2, 2014. Condensation in the intake manifold can freeze during cold weather and interfere with the intake manifold pressure sensor, causing improper sensor operation that may result in elevated exhaust temperatures or flames coming from the exhaust pipe, which increases the risk of fire or burn injuries to people near the vehicle.
To remedy the issue, dealers will upload a new engine control module (ECM) calibration to affected engines at no charge. Owners should contact Cummins at 1-800-343-7357 for more information. The recall number is C1462 for ISL G engines or C1461 for ISX12 G engines.
