RECARO PROSPORT
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Recaro Child Safety LLC is recalling certain Recaro ProSport model 385 child restraints manufactured between June 16, 2010, and January 31, 2013. When these seats are installed using only the LATCH lower anchors without the top tether, the child's head can move excessively during a crash, potentially increasing the risk of injury and failing to meet federal safety standards.
Recaro will notify registered owners and provide, at no cost, a label to place over the existing information label and new instructions directing owners to stop using the LATCH system once a child reaches 40 pounds. The recall campaign began on September 26, 2014. Affected consumers should contact Recaro at 1-888-973-2276 to receive the label and new instructions.
