2012 CHAMPION M1235
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Champion Bus is recalling certain 2012 ABC-M1235 trucks manufactured between June 21, 2011, and November 18, 2011, that are equipped with a Freightliner custom chassis. The vehicles have a defect in the bulkhead module software that causes inaccurate fault detection values, which may cause the side marker and directional lights to stop functioning after a few minutes of vehicle operation. The lights will resume operation after the vehicle is shut down and restarted. This failure reduces the visibility of the vehicle to other drivers and can misinform them about the intended direction of travel, increasing the risk of a crash.
Freightliner will notify owners and perform repairs at its authorized facilities at no charge. The recall began on February 2, 2012. Affected consumers should contact Champion Bus at 1-810-724-6474.
