Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Navistar is recalling certain 2011 and 2012 IC CE and RE school buses manufactured between October 8, 2009, and April 14, 2011. These buses lack proper floor channel reinforcements or have incorrectly installed reinforcements, which means they do not meet federal safety standards for school bus seating and crash protection. This noncompliance increases the risk that passengers could be ejected rearward from seats during a crash, potentially causing serious injury or death.
Navistar will notify owners of affected buses, and authorized dealers will perform the necessary repairs at no charge. The recall repairs were expected to begin on or before September 16, 2011. Owners with questions or who believe they own an affected bus can contact Navistar at 1-800-448-7825.
