What happened

Forest River is recalling certain model year 2011 Wildcat travel trailers manufactured between January 1, 2010 and July 22, 2010. The gross vehicle weight rating, gross axle weight rating, tire information, rim specifications, and air pressure data were incorrectly entered into the company's computer system, resulting in incorrect labels on the vehicles. These incorrect labels could lead owners to accidentally overload their trailers, which may cause an axle or tire failure and increase the risk of a crash.

Forest River began this safety recall on August 9, 2010 and will mail corrected labels to retail purchasers and dealers. Owners of affected trailers should contact Forest River at 1-574-206-7600.
