Plastic dolls
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Plastic dolls sold under the Samefa brand have been recalled due to unsafe levels of di-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), a chemical measured at 20% by weight in the dolls. DEHP is prohibited in toys and childcare articles under the REACH Regulation because it may harm children's health, including possible damage to the reproductive system. The affected dolls include three types: mermaids with different colored hair (model 4430, "Seabed of Fairy Tale World"), a doll in a zebra-print dress (model 4344, "Happy Devil Girl"), and a doll dressed as a doctor with hospital equipment (model 4355, "Belle baby Doctor").
The measure taken was to reject the import of these dolls at the border, effective as of May 5, 2015. The recall source does not specify a remedy or course of action for consumers who may already possess these products.
