InSinkErator and Teka food waste disposers with air switch activation are subject to a recall due to a fire hazard. If the disposer is not installed correctly or if the air switch becomes damaged, water can contact the micro switch and cause electrical arcing. This arcing can ignite the plastic base of the disposer and start a fire. The affected models include InSinkErator 45+A/S, 50+, 55+, 60+, 65+, Vogue, Vogue Upgrade, Reuge, and Reuge Upgrade, as well as the Teka TR50.3+. These products do not meet the safety requirements of the Low Voltage Directive and European Standard EN 60335.
