Blight LED lights are being recalled due to a safety defect in their power supply units. The electrical insulation and spacing between internal components in the power supplies are insufficient, creating a risk of electric shock. The products fail to meet safety standards required by the Low Voltage Directive and European standard EN 60598. Two types of products are affected: LED strip lights (model 4016001210) sold with an AC/DC adapter (model K1202000) in light-blue and white boxes, and LED down lights (model 4016001404) sold with an LED power supply (model CD-PS812YD(8-12)X1W) in white boxes.
The manufacturer was ordered to withdraw the products from the market and recall them from consumers, effective June 8, 2015. The source does not specify what affected consumers should do to return or remedy the recalled products.
