What happened

Electra Amsterdam model bicycles (Classic 3, Original 3, Royal 8, and Sport 3) have an enclosed chain guard with interior alignment tabs that can be pushed against the chain, causing the chain to derail and potentially injuring riders. The affected bicycles have "Electra" and "Amsterdam" printed on the frame and/or chain guard, with certain frame numbers excluded from the recall. Bicycles with frame numbers beginning with "F06" or "EL," or bicycles with chain guards marked "06/08," are not affected. The frame number can be found on the underside of the bottom bracket.
