The "Trendy Summer Beach" inflatable swim ring (50 cm diameter) has been recalled due to chemical hazards. The product contains di-iso-nonyl-phthalate (DINP) at 25.2% by weight, which far exceeds the maximum allowed level of 0.1% for toys. Additionally, harmful solvents—phenol and isophorone—migrate from the swim ring's foil. The product does not comply with the Chemicals Restrictions Directive 76/769/EC.
The distributor has voluntarily withdrawn this product from the market. The swim ring is identifiable by its transparent top with bright printing and blue bottom, with EAN code 32870001231000000100 and article number 32870/00. The product bears a warning label stating it is not suitable for children under three years old and should only be used under adult supervision in shallow water. The recall was notified by Germany.
