Is my product affected?

Electric Wrenches

  • Brand Milwaukee Electric Tool Corp., of Brookfield, Wis.

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Milwaukee Electric Tool Corp. and the CPSC have recalled certain electric impact wrenches because the power cords can release from the handle, creating a risk of injury or electrocution. The affected models are the 9070-20, 9071-20, and 9075-20, which are red-handled tools with red and gray bodies. Consumers can check if their wrench is affected by looking at the model and serial numbers on the nameplate attached to the tool's body; specific serial number ranges are provided for each model. Wrenches that already have an "X" stamped or etched on the nameplate next to the serial number have been repaired and do not need further action.

According to the recall notice, consumers who own an affected wrench should stop using it immediately and return it to the nearest Milwaukee Factory Service Center or authorized power tool service center for a free repair.
