The recall affects bicycles with date codes of April 2000 and earlier, manufactured under model names including Cool Taz, Sweet Tweety, Mudslinger, Secret Treasures, Rugrats, Best Friends, Space Racer, Fairy Magic, MX1200, High Gear, and MX 1800 in 12-inch and 16-inch sizes. The date code is molded on the left rear frame at the rear wheel attachment point.
Consumers who believe they have a recalled bicycle should stop riding it immediately and call Huffy Bicycle Co. to confirm if their bicycle is part of the recall. Consumers with a recalled bicycle will receive a replacement bicycle free of charge.
