What happened

Electric drills sold under the Milwaukee Electric Tool and DEWALT brand names are being recalled due to defective switches manufactured by Eaton Corp. The switches can stick, causing the drills to continue operating after the trigger is released, which creates an injury risk to users. The recalled Milwaukee models are 1610-1, 1630-1, 1670-1, and 1675-1, with specific serial number ranges listed in the recall. The recalled DEWALT models are DW124 and DW124K with date codes ranging from 0021 through 0110.

Consumers can identify recalled drills by locating the model number and serial number or date code on an identification plate attached to the drill or stamped into the drill body.
