Mophie is recalling its Juice Pack Air rechargeable external battery case for iPod Touch 4G music players due to a burn hazard. The plastic case snaps onto the back of the iPod Touch and contains a built-in lithium polymer battery. The problem is that the battery case's integrated circuit switch can overheat and potentially burn consumers. The cases come in black, blue, or red. Only cases with serial numbers beginning with TR113 through TR120 are affected by this recall—consumers can find the serial number inside the product housing.
If you own an affected battery case, you should immediately stop using it and contact Mophie for instructions on how to receive a replacement product.

The recalled product is a Mophie Juice Pack Air rechargeable external battery which consists of a lithium polymer battery built into a plastic case designed to snap onto the back of an iPod Touch 4G music player. The battery cases come in black, blue or red. Only battery cases with serial numbers that have the first five alphanumeric characters of TR113 through TR120 are subject to this recall. The serial number can be found inside the housing of the product.
