Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare is recalling four models of adult portable bed rails due to entrapment and asphyxiation hazards. The recalled models are 15064, 15062, RTL15073, and RTL15063-ADJ. These bed rails, which range from approximately 13 to 23 inches in height and 12 to 20 inches in width, are made of steel tubing in white or chrome. The hazard occurs when the rails are attached to an adult's bed, as users can become trapped within the rail or between the rail and mattress, creating a risk of death by asphyxiation. Two deaths have been associated with this hazard. The product name "Drive" and the model number are printed on a label on the metal tubing.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bed rails and contact Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare to receive a full refund.

The rails are made of steel tubing either in white or chrome. Models RTL15063-ADJ and RTL15073 include black non-slip padding on the grip handle and under-bed frame. Model 15062 features a wooden under-bed board attached to the grip handle.
