What happened

Horizon Hobby is recalling the Losi NiMH Start-Up Combo Charger (model number LOSB9904) due to a hazard where the charger and battery can emit excessive heat, posing burn and fire risks. The black charger measures 4" x 2" and is marked with a Losi logo sticker on the front along with instructions stating "Use only with 7.2V NiMH Batteries 1500mAh or higher." The back of the charger displays voltage and current ratings (input: 100-240VAC, 1.0A; output: 8.5V, 3A) and another Losi logo. The model number LOSB9904 can be found printed on the back of the product packaging next to the bar code.

Affected consumers should immediately stop using this product and contact Horizon Hobby for a refund of the retail value.
