What happened

Burton has recalled Step On snowboard boots from the winter 2017-2019 seasons due to a defect that can cause the boots to release unexpectedly from the binding, creating a fall hazard. The recalled boots include multiple models—Photon, Felix, Ruler, Limelight, Ion, and Zipline—in various colors, and the model name can be found printed on the inside of the boot tongue.

If you own a pair of the recalled boots, you should immediately stop using them and contact Burton to receive a free replacement heel cleat. Burton is contacting all known purchasers directly about this recall.
