Dynacraft has recalled certain Magna and Equator brand 26-inch, 18-speed mountain bicycles that were sold at Toys R Us. The bicycles involved are women's models numbered 8546-84 and men's models numbered 8547-19, manufactured between December 1999 and May 2000. These bicycles have "Magna" or "Equator" printed in black lettering on green-colored women's frames or red-colored men's frames, with manufacturing information shown on a label near the crank housing.
The pedals on these bicycles can loosen and fall off while being ridden, which can cause serious injury to the rider. Consumers who own affected bicycles should stop using them immediately and call Dynacraft to receive a free replacement pedal and crank set along with free installation.
