John Deere Recalls Tractor Backhoe Attachments Due to Crushing Hazard (Recall Alert)

What happened

John Deere is recalling model 485A backhoe attachments designed for specific compact utility tractor models, including the 4044M, 4044R, 4049M, 4049R, 4052M, 4052R, 4066M, and 4066R. The recalled attachments have serial numbers beginning with 1LV0485ACG0030+++. The mounting hardware on these backhoe attachments can loosen, which may cause the backhoe frame to rotate toward the operator and create a crushing hazard. The attachments are green with the John Deere leaping deer logo and have the model number 485A printed on both sides.
