BYA Sports is recalling Double Hammocks sold in blue or orange due to a defect in the metal ring welds. The weld can fail during use, causing the hammock to detach and fall, which could injure the user. The recalled hammocks measure approximately 12 feet by 6.5 feet and come with an attached nylon stuff sack and metal ring on the ends. The BYA logo appears on the front of the stuff sack, and the merchandising card displays the BYA logo and "DOUBLE HAMMOCK" text. The affected products have UPC codes 7456112010186 (orange) or 7456112010193 (blue) printed on the back of the merchandising card.
According to the recall, consumers who own these hammocks should immediately stop using them and contact BYA Sports for a free replacement.
