What happened

Inovonics is recalling four models of transmitters and receivers (EN1210, EN1223S, EN1233S, and EN4232MR) used in emergency call systems and security monitoring. These beige devices can fail to send or receive signals, preventing users from getting help in an emergency. The EN1223S and EN1233S are wireless pendants worn on the neck, wrist, or belt that users press to call for assistance, the EN1210 is mounted on doors or windows to detect opening, and the EN4232MR is a wall-mounted receiver that picks up signals from Inovonics transmitters. The devices are primarily used in senior living communities and assisted living facilities, as well as in commercial buildings and some luxury residences.

According to the recall, consumers should immediately stop using the recalled transmitters and receivers and contact Inovonics for a free replacement. The record states that all known purchasers have already been notified directly by the company.

This recall involves Inovonics transmitters and receivers. These beige devices transmit or receive signals for emergency call systems in senior independent and assisted living communities, as well as security monitoring systems in commercial buildings and some luxury residences. Recalled models include EN1210, EN1223S, EN1233S and EN4232MR. The EN1223S and EN1233S wireless pendant transmitters allow users to push a button to summon assistance. "Inovonics" is printed on all the devices except on model EN1223S. The model number appears on a label on the back of the device. The date code is printed on the carton label and on the circuit board inside the device.
