Giant-brand bicycle front forks
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Giant Bicycle, Inc. is recalling carbon fiber forks sold on 2001-model Giant TCR Team, TCR 0, TCR 1, TCR 2, and OCR 1 bicycles and framesets. The forks can break during use, which may cause riders to lose control, fall, and suffer serious injuries. You can identify recalled forks by checking the date code on the steerer tube: TCR Team and TCR 0 models have a date code showing Year 00 and Month 8, 9, 10, or 11 on a label, while TCR 1, TCR 2, OCR 1 models and TCR 0 framesets have a date code beginning with "0H," "0J," "0K," or "0L" embossed on the steerer tube.
Consumers with affected bicycles should stop using them immediately and return them to the nearest Giant Authorized Dealer for a free inspection and repair if necessary.
