Thermador® combination thermal/microwave ovens
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
BSH Home Appliances Corp. is recalling Thermador thermal and microwave ovens because the oven door may not lock properly when the "self clean" mode is activated. During self-cleaning, the oven generates intense heat to clean its interior. If the door opens during this cycle, oxygen entering the oven can cause any combustible material inside to ignite, creating a fire hazard.
The affected ovens are model numbers CM301UB, CM302UB, CM301UW, CM302UW, CM301US, and CM302US with serial numbers beginning with 2003 through 2010. These ovens have a steel frame around glass panels and are available in black, white, or stainless steel finishes, sold as single or double-stacked units. The model and serial numbers can be found on a data plate marked "Thermador" inside the grill beneath the control panel. According to the recall, consumers should immediately stop using the "self clean" mode and contact Thermador to arrange for a free inspection and repair if needed.

The oven door may not lock properly when the oven is put into the "self clean" mode. While the oven is in "self clean" mode, intense heat is generated to clean the oven. If oxygen is introduced by opening the oven door during the "self clean" mode, combustible material left inside can ignite and pose a fire risk.
Consumers should stop using the "self clean" mode of the recalled ovens immediately and contact Thermador to arrange for a free inspection and, if needed, free repair.
