GE Lighting is recalling high-intensity discharge (HID) LED replacement lamps used in warehouse, school, and gymnasium lighting fixtures. The lamps measure 5 1/2 inches in diameter by 11 1/2 inches long and weigh approximately 3 pounds. The recalled lamps have the GE logo and specifications "LED165/M400/740, 165W, 4000K, 20000 Lumens, China" printed on the white plastic base, along with date codes K213 or K245. The lamps were sold in blue and white cartons marked "ED37/EX39 base" on the front and "PC:21259" on the back above the bar code.
The lamps pose an impact hazard because the lamp can separate from its base and fall. Consumers who have purchased these lamps should immediately contact GE Lighting for a free repair kit and installation guide.
