Zipp® bicycle quick releases
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
SRAM is recalling Zipp stainless steel or titanium quick releases because they can fail to engage in the closed position, which creates crash and injury hazards for riders. These quick releases were sold as standalone aftermarket components or as part of specific Zipp wheel sets, including the 202 DB V2, 303 DB V2, 404 Firestrike V2, 202 Firecrest V3, 303 Firecrest V3, 404 Firecrest V3, 808 Firecrest V3, and 808 NSW models. The recalled quick releases have a curved black lever with "Zipp" printed on it and lack a marking at the center of the underside of the lever below the Zipp logo.
Consumers who have bicycles equipped with the recalled quick releases should immediately stop using them and contact SRAM or their local bicycle dealer to obtain a free replacement quick release.
