What happened

Room & Board is recalling Doyle arm chairs and side chairs made of wood because the backrest can break during normal use, creating a sharp edge that could lacerate users. The recalled chairs were sold in five finishes (charcoal, cherry, maple, shell, and walnut) and came with or without upholstered seats. Consumers can identify recalled chairs by checking the barcode printed on a label under the seat on the inside of the seat frame; "Room & Board-Handcrafted in Vermont" is inscribed nearby. The wood chairs were sold with and without an upholstered seat and in five different finishes: Charcoal, cherry, maple, shell and walnut. Each chair has a barcode printed on a label located under the seat on the inside of the seat frame. "Room & Board-Handcrafted in Vermont" is inscribed on the seat frame next to the barcode.
