Barnett Outdoors is recalling its Black Widow slingshots due to a safety hazard with the wrist strap. The wrist strap can slip off the wrist brace when the slingshot's pouch is pulled back, causing the slingshot's body to snap back and potentially strike the user. The recalled slingshot is approximately 6 inches tall and features a black plastic handgrip with red rubber studs, a silver metal fork, and a silver metal folding wrist brace with a black soft plastic wrist strap. The recalled models lack an X mark where the wrist strap ends attach to the wrist brace. These slingshots were sold with translucent beige rubber bands and a gray suede pouch.
Consumers who own a recalled Black Widow slingshot should immediately stop using it and contact Barnett Outdoors to receive a free replacement wrist strap.
