What happened

Öhlins USA is recalling Öhlins RXF 48 mm front bike forks for motocross bikes because the fork legs can break or detach, which poses a crash hazard. The recalled forks have yellow legs with a large white "Ö" and small "TTX" marking, measure about 37 inches long, and include four specific product and batch number combinations: FGKT 1586 (batch 309632), FGHO 1596 (batch 309640), FGKT 1596 (batch 309628), and FGKT 1596 (batch 138461). The batch and product numbers are stamped on the silver-colored bottom piece of the front fork.

Consumers who have motocross bikes with these front forks should stop using them immediately and contact Öhlins for a free replacement and installation of a new cartridge kit in the fork.
