Tanglefoot Tree Wound and Grafting Compound
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Tanglefoot Co. has recalled Tree Wound and Grafting Compound, a product used to seal pruning cuts and tree wounds sold in pint, quart, and gallon cans. Pressure can build inside the cans and forcibly discharge the compound, potentially causing temporary skin irritation.
The recalled product includes all cans filled between November 11, 1996, and May 5, 1999. Consumers can identify affected cans by checking the five-digit date code stamped on the back of the label, which is formatted as year-month-day (for example, "81127" indicates November 27, 1998). Affected consumers should return the product to the store where it was purchased for a replacement.
