Excite Ltd. is recalling Excite Super Speeder II and Viper scooters sold at Rite Aid due to a pinch-point hazard at the front of the folding mechanism where the steering column meets the base. Fingers can be injured when folding or unfolding the scooter. The recalled scooters have a lightweight aluminum frame with black foam handle grips, "Super Speeder II" or "Viper" printed on the standing platform and steering column, "Excite" printed at the top of the steering column, and 4-inch translucent in-line style wheels. This recall does not include the original Super Speeder or other Viper brand scooters.
Consumers with a recalled scooter should stop using it immediately and contact Excite Ltd. to receive a free protective cap that will cover the front of the folding mechanism.
