Lawn and garden tractors
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
White Outdoor Products Co. is recalling certain year 2000 riding lawn and garden tractors because the hood latch can damage the fuel tank and cause fuel leaks when the hood is raised and lowered, creating a fire and explosion hazard. The affected tractors are red and gray two-tone models with 42-, 46-, or 50-inch mower decks, 16 to 25 horsepower engines, and foot pedal speed control, manufactured between November 1, 1999 and August 8, 2000. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled tractors and contact White Outdoor Products Co. to verify whether their unit is affected. To identify the tractor, consumers will need the model and serial numbers, which are located under the seat. If the tractor is part of the recall, the company will provide a replacement hood latch and fuel tank inspection instructions.
