NY Thermal Inc. is recalling NTI Trinity gas-fired hot water boilers with model numbers Ti100, Ti150, Ti200, and Ti400 that were manufactured between November 28, 2005 and January 8, 2007. These boilers—which are gray and marked with "NTI" on the front cover—can develop a problem where acidic liquid in a drain line causes a fitting to leak, creating a risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. The Ti100, Ti150, and Ti200 are wall-mounted units, while the Ti400 is a floor model. The model number and manufacturing date can be found on the ID label inside the front cover.
Consumers who own an affected boiler should immediately contact NY Thermal Inc. for instructions and to arrange a free repair to address the carbon monoxide hazard.
