Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Progress Lighting is recalling trim assembly kits for recessed light fixtures due to a safety hazard. The plastic trim rings on these fixtures can soften and melt from heat generated by the light bulb, causing the trim ring and glass lens to fall and potentially cause cuts to people nearby. The affected trim assemblies include a 7 3/4-inch white plastic ring, glass lens, and metal reflector, and were installed primarily in bathroom ceilings. The recalled models are numbered 8009-60, 8010-60, or 8011-60, were manufactured in China, and can be identified by checking the sticker on the inside or outside of the reflector.
According to the recall record, consumers who have these fixtures should stop using them immediately and contact Progress Lighting to arrange for installation of a replacement trim ring.
