What happened

IKEA is recalling ANGAR (article #200.301.24) and SAMLAS (article #900.524.43) outdoor candles due to a fire and burn hazard. The recalled candles have silver-colored metal containers approximately four inches wide by two inches high, filled with white wax and fitted with brown fiberboard wicks about ½ inch square. They were sold in packages of six candles. The hazard occurs because the candle's wax can catch fire and create a high flame.

Consumers who own these candles should stop using them immediately. According to the recall notice, affected consumers should return the candles to the nearest IKEA store's "Returns and Exchanges" department for a full refund.
