Juvenile Folding Chairs
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Meco Corp. is recalling children's folding chairs due to a hazard where children's fingers can become caught or entrapped in the hinge and slot areas, posing a pinch or cut hazard. The recalled chairs feature safety locks under the seat, are made of metal tubing with vinyl padded seats and backs, and were sold in red, blue, yellow, and green colors as part of table-and-chair sets. Each chair measures approximately 22 inches high, 10 inches wide, and 11 inches deep, with either "Meco" or "Samsonite" printed on the label underneath the seat bottom.
Consumers who have these chairs should immediately stop using them and contact Meco for instructions on receiving a refund. This recall is separate from a 2004 Meco recall of red-colored children's folding chairs that involved excessive lead paint levels.
