What happened

Pokémon USA has recalled certain Pokédoll plush toy characters because the stuffing may contain tips of sewing needles that could cause puncture injuries. The recall affects 10 different characters: Pikachu (available in 12-inch and 6-inch sizes), Minun, Plusle, Skitty, Eevee, Munchlax, Mew, Ho-Oh, and Lugia (the latter eight are approximately 6 inches tall). These toys have a sewn-in label reading "Pokémon Center ©2005 Pokémon/Nintendo/Creatures/GAME FREAK" on one side and "2005 MADE IN CHINA" on the other.

According to the recall notice, parents should immediately remove these toys from children and contact Pokémon USA to receive a free replacement toy.
