The affected models include Poulan Pro, Poulan, Southern States, and Craftsman tractors with 17.5 to 19 horsepower engines equipped with a 6-speed MST206-545C Peerless transaxle manufactured between specific dates. You can identify whether your tractor is affected by checking the model number located below the tractor seat and the transaxle date code on the transaxle housing.
According to the recall notice, consumers should immediately stop using their lawn tractor and contact Tecumseh for assistance in identifying whether their unit is affected and to arrange for free repair if necessary.
