Head USA Inc. has recalled Dacor Darwin Air and Dacor Darwin Console dive computers due to improper calibration that causes inaccurate calculations of No Decompression Time, Decompression Time, Desaturation Time, and No Fly Time. The Darwin Air models with serial numbers 3265 through 3415 and the Darwin Console models with serial numbers 8503 through 8592 are affected. The Darwin Air is a gray and black integrated dive computer and pressure gauge, while the Darwin Console is a black dive computer with a compact submersible pressure gauge. You can find the serial number by removing and reinserting the batteries to view it on the screen.
Using an improperly calibrated dive computer can cause divers to suffer serious injuries, including decompression sickness. According to the recall notice, consumers should immediately stop using the recalled diving computers and return them to an authorized Dacor dealer for free repair.

The dive computers were improperly calibrated, resulting in incorrect calculations. Diving with an improperly calibrated dive computer can provide inaccurate "No Decompression (no stop) Time," "Decompression Time," "Desaturation Time" and "No Fly Time." This could result in divers suffering serious injuries, including decompression sickness.
Consumers should immediately stop using these recalled diving computers and return the computers to an authorized Dacor dealer for a free repair.
