What happened

A. O. Smith Co. is recalling Coast Mountain® spas, including models named Cypress, Seymour, Cowichan, Washington, and Robson, due to a fire hazard. The circulating pump motor can overheat because of a defective capacitor made by Motors Capacitor Inc., which is identified by a "Tiny Might" label on the motor. These spas feature an acrylic liner with western red cedar siding and can seat up to six adults.

If you own one of the recalled spas, you should stop using it immediately and contact the Spa Fulfillment Center to arrange for free installation of a replacement pump capacitor. The model name can be found on the top corner of the spa to confirm whether your unit is affected.
