Drop-Side cribs

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Million Dollar Baby, Baby Mod, and Da Vinci brand drop-side cribs are being recalled because their drop sides can malfunction, detach, or fail, leaving gaps where infants or toddlers can become wedged, entrapped, or strangled. This problem can happen due to defects, incorrect assembly, or wear over time. Children can also fall out of affected cribs.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled cribs and contact Million Dollar Baby for a free repair kit to immobilize the drop side. Until repairs are made, parents should move the child to an alternate safe sleeping environment such as a bassinet, play yard, or toddler bed based on the child's age. Affected models include Alexandria, Bailey, Caleb, Jenny Lind, Lauren, Naomi, Oxford, Pine Canopy, Sleigh, Twinkle, Anastasia, Annabelle, Kendall, Kirsten, Leonardo, Michelangelo, Robin, Roxanne, and Serena models. You can identify a recalled crib by checking for the Million Dollar Baby, Da Vinci, or Baby Mod company name and logo on the label affixed to the crib's headboard.

Hazard

The cribs' drop sides can malfunction, detach or otherwise fail, causing part of the drop side to fall out of position, creating a space into which an infant or toddler can roll and become wedged or entrapped, which can lead to strangulation or suffocation. A child can also fall out of the crib. Drop-side incidents can also occur due to incorrect assembly and with age-related wear and tear.

What should I do?

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled cribs and contact Million Dollar Baby for a free repair kit that will immobilize the drop side. In the meantime, find an alternate, safe sleeping environment for the child, such as a bassinet, play yard or toddler bed depending on the child's age
