Trojan Technologies has recalled certain TrojanUVMax residential water disinfection systems due to a fire hazard. The systems use ultraviolet light to disinfect water, and some units contain lamp pins that are improperly soldered. These defective pins can cause the units to overheat and potentially catch fire. The recalled models are D, D Plus, E, E Plus, F, F Plus, Pro 7, and 15, which can be identified by the "TROJANUVMAX" marking on the steel chamber and the model number on the Underwriters Laboratories label on the power supply.

The recalled TrojanUVMax system, designed for residential and light commercial application, uses ultraviolet light to disinfect water. "TROJANUVMAX" is written on the system's steel chamber. Models included in the recall are D, D Plus, E, E Plus, F, F Plus, Pro 7 and 15. Model numbers are written on the Underwriters Laboratories label on the power supply. No other Trojan Technologies model or product is included in this recall. The lamps were manufactured in the U.S. and the system is assembled in Canada.
