Electrolux Home Products is recalling certain Sears Craftsman, Husqvarna, and Poulan Pro garden tractors because the rear wheel hub may crack or wear and spin free on its axle under certain operating conditions. This defect can result in a loss of power to the wheel and brake, posing a risk of injury to consumers. The recalled models include Craftsman models beginning with 917 with specific model numbers, Husqvarna models GTH2550XPA, GTH2550XPB, and GTH2550C, and Poulan Pro models PRGT22H48A, 917.279981, and 917.279983, all with serial date codes ranging from 011501 to 092101.
Consumers who own an affected tractor should stop using it immediately and call the appropriate service number for their tractor's brand to provide their model name, model number, and serial number (located under the tractor seat on the fender). The manufacturer will verify whether the tractor is affected by the recall and, if so, will schedule a free repair.

Consumers who have purchased one of these garden tractors (within the affected date code range) are asked to stop using the tractor immediately, call the appropriate telephone number for your model in the list, give the customer service representative your garden tractor model name, model number and serial number information. This information is located under the tractor seat on the fender. We will verify if your tractor is affected by this recall. If your tractor is affected, we will schedule a free repair of the unit.
