The Consumer Product Safety Commission and Kent International Inc. are recalling "Midget Racer" mini-bicycles due to a hazard with the front fork assembly. The front fork can loosen or break, which may cause the rider to lose control and crash. The recalled mini-bicycles are yellow with 8-inch black rubber tires, black seats, and black handgrips, measuring approximately 31 inches long and 23 inches high, with "MIDGET RACER" and "KENT" written in red lettering on the frame. Kent has already notified many consumers about this recall, but approximately 2,200 of these mini-bicycles have not yet been returned.
According to the recall notice, consumers who own these mini-bicycles should stop using them immediately and return them to the place of purchase. At the retailer, consumers can either receive a refund or exchange the mini-bicycle for a replacement. Mini-bicycles with black plastic caps covering the chrome portion of the front-wheel fork tops and sides are not included in this recall.
